KL and Genting trip

After a week of feeling stuck up, I told my friends that i want to be away for the long weekend. We have been searching online and most of the flights were just over-priced for the weekend getaway. So we decided to drive up to Malaysia instead.

After work on Thursday evening, we began our journey to Malaysia via Tuas Second Link causeway. Customs on both sides were Ok. We had our dinner at Johor Bahru and finally drove up to Kuala Lumpur at 9pm.. The traffic were really heavy...A normally 4 hours drive ended up 6 hours...Only arrived at our apartment at 3am in the morning...

So, we woke up around 10am in the morning on Friday morning, pack our stuffs and ready for check-out again. Headed to Pavilion for breakfast and drove towards Genting Highlands. Similarly, the traffic were horrible and horrified!!!! So many cars broke down at the road shoulder and seriously slow down the whole traffic. It was also a long weekend for Malaysians and everyone just driving away or back to their home town.

An hour road ride took us 2 hours.. Check-in at our hotel at the mid of the highland.. Then drove up to Genting Highlands...Finding carparks at Genting Highlands was our another nightmare...Well, we finally had our lunch at 3pm. Bear in mind we haven done anything yet!! The temperature was around 23 degree...cooling weather...We began to wander around, went to "Ridley believe it-or-not" museum before heading to Arena to watch the performance "Iluminate". Iluminate was the dancing team emerged from American got talent show. Their outfit were fitted with neo lights and they will dance in the dark. The timing of the neon light led up and their dance positions have to be time perfectly. Initially the performance was exciting, but after 30 mins, i guess they have hit their climax...I'm just glad it was just an hour performance or i will fall asleep...

After the show, went for dinner and ended the night at Casino!!! That was the highlight of the whole trip! Seriously, everyone went to Genting Highlands for the same reason...Casino..haha..After 2 hours in the casino, I lost RM60 (S$25). That was nothing as i had fun! Lights off at 2,30am that night.

Back to NYC
20 degree..woo~~
Saturday morning, we woke up early again around 9am to grab breakfast at our hotel.. Check-out around 11am. We drove to Genting strawberry farm.. It was my first time entering strawberry farm and i was so excited! All of us didnt try cutting/harvesting strawberry before! So, after paying RM8 (S$3) entrance fee, we can cut and buy the strawberries at RM8 per 100gram. What a bargain! So we began to behave like a child, happily cutting and taking selfies at the farm..lol... Not only strawberry farm, there were mushroom farm and lavender nursery..Anyway, after that, we drove another 30 mins to The French Village at Bukit Tinggi. The whole place were so crowded. Pretty interesting but nothing special in the meantime. We tried the 5D simulate ride there before settling down for our lunch at 3pm.. Well, since we were in Malaysia, our lunch took almost 20-30 mins to be served to us. That's a norm.

Strawberry or me?

We drove back to Kuala Lumpur after our lunch, check in around 6pm and slept until 7.30pm for our dinner. We had our dinner at Morganfield's where i ordered Pork ribs. Every sumptuous dinner indeed and had our coffee at Pavilion. The night didn't just ended. We went to the bar after that and finished at 2am.

On Sunday, we had pork ribs soup for our lunch, do some shopping and began to drive back to Singapore at 4pm...Thankfully, after dinner along the way, we arrived at Singapore at 11pm..The weekend getaway was actually quite tiring as we had late nights for the whole trip but i had fun! That's most important..Where am i going next?
