Thailand part 2, Krabi~

Taking advantage of the long weekend, decided to go to Krabi, Thailand 3 days before the getaway..it was kind of last min booking but we never regret it at all! The whole trip was fun and amazing..things to note..please don't forget sunblock, shade, insect repellent, insect repellent and insect repellent. I was  bite so badly throughout the whole trip!

Woke up around 7.30am and head to the airport to catch the flight at 10.05am..after 1.5 hours flight, arrived at Krabi around 11.30am..took the shuttle bus which cost 150baht (S$6) and arrived at Ao Nang after 1 hour where our hotel/resort was located..As we are not able to check in after 2pm, we went for lunch at this restaurant which faces the sea...amazing food just that the service were way too slow and pretty hefty ..lol

After lunch, check in and shop around the vicinity..gotten shirt, cap, waterproof bag which are essential items for the tour the next day.. Continue to explore the place and went for foot massage [250 baht (S$10)] for an hour as it was raining after the dinner..pretty happy with the food for the first day..lights off at 11pm as we need to wake up early the next day!
                  Ao Nang beach
                     Bitch at beach
                     The street

           Evening view of the beach
Thai food and my Thai ice tea

Day 2- Woke up at 7.30am again and all set ready at 8am..breakfast followed by the tour at 9.30am..signed up the day tour from 9-3pm around 1100baht (S$44) which includes boat ride to Hong island, snorkeling, kayaking and even lunch..it's a great deal!  Took this long tail boat where we need to soak ourselves in the sea to board the boat..there's no berth or jetty..
Snorkeling first for 40mins before setting off to another beautiful island to relax and have lunch over there..it's my first time snorkeling and I really panic in the beginning..haha..the water was pretty clear to see the fishes and corals under the water..After lunch, it's about 12.30pm and set off to Hong island for kayaking..my whole body were aching after the kayaking..and stop after half an hour and just chill at the beach.. Fine sand, clear water, sunny day, beach girls/boys, spectacular view of limestones .. What else can I ask for?

After the trip, it's about 4pm, jump straight into the swimming pool at our resort..went for quick snack after that and enjoy the last min shopping..then, went for Thai massage where I nearly lost my temper there! Gotten this Thai lady boy masseur and kept asking me do I want special service..after rejecting him/her for 3 times, he/she finally gave up and do the proper massage..totally pissed off with this kind of indecent act Becoz all I wanted was a proper massage after all the exercise I did during the day! Still asked for tips Becoz I didn't accept his/her offer...please do not visit "Apple massage" in Krabi!
Head back to the hotel to shower Becoz I really felt so molestered..lol..head for dinner and end the day with iron man 3 on the TV!
                   The "beach" jetty..

                     Lets do yoga!
              Beach boy and girl..

               Look how clear the water
                 the long tail boat
Should I pray for jm and Karen?

Final day in Krabi, woke up at 11am and ready for check out..we signed up for another package to tiger cave temple at 2pm..head for ice cream and Starbucks while waiting for the driver..
Read a lot about tiger cave and the stairs to the top of the mountain.decided to give it a go since I'm there! 1,237 steps to the top..
Arrived at 2.30pm..explore around first before climbing the stairs..took me almost 30mins to reach the top of the mountain..each steps are so steep and narrow..the whole journey was a pain..nearly giving up halfway as my thighs were hurting and I was panting and perspiring a lot..As I have set the mind to reach the top, I forced myself to finish the steps and took pictures at the top...which I made it..there is a Buddha temple there and it's really clears my mind when I'm up there! Panorama view of the place with all plantations around..had really a full view of the vicinity...I took another 20 mins again to go down to the foot of the mountain..this time, I can't feel my legs anymore..I have to hold the railings to climb down safely..rushing to get isotonic water to quench my thirst before continuing to explore the rest of the temples at the foot of the mountain..it was amazing for me to complete the stairs :)

After that, asked the driver to take us for shopping before heading to airport to catch out flight at 8.30pm

           Beginning of the journey
                 Steps after steps

                  More steps to go

                        Buddha

              Too of the mountain view
            Conquered the stairs!

The 3 days 2 nights getaway was great..No doubt was suffering in pain now (thighs and shoulder hurts)..Krabi had so much to offer..beautiful beaches, limestones around the island, great food and my first time snorkeling..
So glad and thankful for everything.. :)

48 hours in Bangkok

Finally, the Bangkok trip was fulfilled! Always wanted to go back there again ever since 2011...
Took the flight at 6pm (GMT +8) after my IPPT..arrived in Bangkok around 7pm (GMT +7) ..cleared the custom and off to the train around 7.45pm...

Check into the hotel around 8.30pm..stayed at Courtyard marriott hotel this time round..it is convenient place where BTS station is 5-7mins walk and 15mins walk to Siam paragon..
After checking in, had Macdonald's for supper and Haagen daas before calling off the night.

Day 2, woke up around 8.30am. Went to this temple around my hotel..and pray for the better..it's really clear my mind and hoping to pray for better..in everything! Lol.. Next, head to Chatuchak market for bargain! It was so hot in Bangkok..but it doesn't kill my shopping spree..bought a pair of shorts, boxing shorts for nephews and air freshners too.. It's not as cheap as before..haha
                  4-faced Buddha
               Chatuchak market

Subsequently, went back to hotel around 1.30pm, had a quick shower before heading to ferry point for cruise ride..the cruise was fun! And bring you to places of attractions..alighted at Wat Pho, went to the temple and pay a visit to reclining Buddha.. Exploring the whole place before taking another boat to across the river..there was this "pyramid" which I'm not sure what is it call.. The stairs were so steep and it's really challenging to climb up...the view was amazing!
Next, took the boat ride back to the ferry point and headed straight to Siam!
And spent the whole evening at Siam paragon! It was huge mall with really expensive stores! Haha..finally had an authentic Thai food for dinner..green curry, pad Thai, Thai ice tea and meat satay..hehe
                         Cruising

                   Reclining  Buddha

                     The pyramid

                        Sea view

Day 3, final day in bkk.. Woke up slightly later around 10am and head to Baiyoke Sky. It was the tallest building in Bangkok..84th floor high..the sky was clear and luckily one group of china tourists just went off..haha..the whole place was empty and quiet..really enjoying the panorama view of bkk...
Went to platinum mall, central world and MBK after that to do last min shopping.. Gotten something back for both of us at least..haha

Headed back to hotel to get our baggage before leaving to airport..took the 8pm flight home..
                  Baiyoke sky view

                   Central world

It was an amazing trip..after so much incidents and manifests happened to me...it was really a good break and I'm enjoying every moments of it..Thailand is amazing...cheap"er" food/drinks, nice people, nice company :)
Look forward for next trip..
