Overseas Trip



The trip to United Kingdom

Weather: Mid Autumn, 3 - 17  degree, Raining

 

 

Day 1 - Arrived at Manchester Airport at 12.45pm on 2 Oct. I have taken 17hours of flights. Thanks to Stopover at Colombo which makes the trip so long. It was drizzling..Check in and settled down in the room..nothing much..check around the area...

 

 

 

 Day 2 - Went to Warrington and did some shopping there..went to Walton hall gardens.. nice weather, clear blue sky

Day 3 - Went to Piccadilly Gardens and continue my shopping spree. Arndale Manchester, House of Fraser and the whole streets were full of shops and boutiques. A similar place like Orchard Rd in Singapore. Had my first chinese food there ..cost 5poundsSpent whole day there before heading to Manchester Town Hall

Day 4 - Went to the Trafford Centre for more shopping. A "must go" shopping mall since it is the biggest shopping arcade in Europe.Spent half a day there doing my shopping and exploring the whole places..lol

Day 5 Went to Chorlton for breakfast before heading to Old Trafford to take some pictures. Party on Sat night was really great...haha

Day 6 - Wales

Drove 150miles west to Wales and visit the Conwy Castle, the lake, and trying Welsh traditonal breakfast cheese on toast..Wales is really a beautiful place.. peaceful and quiet.

Day 7 - Went to Old trafford stadium again to take up the museum and stadium tour.Sign up the stadium and museum tour for 16pounds. I think is quite worth it as it enables me to enter Old Trafford as well as understand more about the team Im not a particular Man Utd fans but i think is a place worth visiting. Went to airport after that to catch my flight to Geneva.

Day 8 - At Geneva but took a coach to Mont Blanc, France to the tallest mountain in Europe. However, when i arrived at Chamonix, due to bad weather, we were unable to take the cable car up to the mountain. Thus, i have to spend the rest of the day at Chamonix. Really disappointing and waste alot of time traveling, Arrived at Geneva at 7pm..Did some sightseeing and enjoy the breeze at night.

 

 

Day 9 - Finally is time to explore Geneva..Morning was raining heavily but luckily, the sky turned clear and i can take pictures.. Exploring the whole city centre in Geneva and back to airport again to Manchester.

 

 

 

Day 10 - After returning to Manchester last evening, we woke up early and head off to Scotland. Drove 350miles North to Erdinburgh, Scotland. Scotland is so wet and cold. Been raining and raining and raininf..lol..then went to the castle and strolled along the streets.

Day 11 - Drove another 300miles north to Inverness, Scotland. It was still raining and much much cooler as compared to Erdinburgh. Went to explore around Victorian Market and vicinity.

Day 12 - Drove750 miles back to Manchester. On the way,we stop by to see the Loch ness river to find the Loch ness monster. haha..then drove again to Glencoe and withness the magnificent mountain scene..the moutains are so amazing and really beautiful

Day 13 - Packing my luggages and my emotions to prepare to go back to Singapore. The whole trip was really wonderful and allows me to understand more about UK and Switzerland. Really hope i can visit other parts of Europe next time.
